Changelog 2024-08-30
- Added a reccomendation
- Removed about three gallons of urine from the carpet.
Changelog 2024-04-23
- More backend changes, nothing very exciting. The RSS feed also received an update. I think I'm using it in a way that most don't expect, but I'm also not a news reporter.
- Added the emulation essay to 'lib.html'.
Changelog 2024-04-22
- Lots of backend changes this time. Need to change things to use relative paths to ensure URL completion when locally hosting HTML files. Editing thru the Neocities editor kinda sucks!
- Added a Poetry page, because I'm stupid.
- Added an RSS Feed to the main page. Available here.
Changelog 18/8/2023
- Added a current project page, as well as removed the Why Emulate? page from the main page. Honestly I'm not sure if there's a good place for it. I'm no essayist, and I don't think it actually fits with the other tone of things. Whatever, I guess.
Changelog 2/13/2023
- I removed the Chronicle of Yellan Stow from public view. It isn't edited at all and it's not even finished. I published it far too early. I'm sorry.
Changelog 2/10/2023
- I changed the style sheet to include a version of the Page class that's gray. It's called Notes, and I changed the anchor colours inside that class to be more visible inside it.
- I intend to use this class for 'fake' annotations to my fiction. It will make cool things, I hope.
Changelog 2/9/2023
- Added the first page of Yellan Stow's Chronicle to public viewing.
- I don't remember when I made the change, and I didn't put it in the changelog when I did, but I changed the music track on the writings page to something I think fit more. Battle on the Big Bridge no longer, World of Madness instead.
Changelog 2/8/2023
I know it's been a long time since the last update, but I ran out of ideas. Sometimes some things have to stagnate a bit before you have an idea to skip a rock across. Glasspool Mimic.
- Added pictures of album covers to the reccomendations page. I think they look nice, but I made a compromise between the website being readable and the images being legible.
To-Do 2/8/2023
- I'm still stewing on an about the author page. I don't know what I'd want to put there or what I'd want it to look like.
- I'm working on a draft of the next story I'm going to publish here. It's a story about a dragon's journey through time.
Changelog 1/9/2023
- Added a smaller section to the reccomendations page and two new entries.
- I opened an email through protonmail where viewers of this site can contact me. I don't know if contact is as important to me as someone else, but would like to have people that see my site give me opinions. As of right now, that's the only contact vector I'm giving people.
Changelog 1/4/2023
- Added a lot more to the reccomendations page. I think I'll update it with more things when I can, and I do want to include screencaptures and other images to help capture what it is I'm talking about. I think, especially, I'll want to add pictures of album covers to the music section.
To-Do 1/4/2023
- I want to decide how I'm going to link to things like albums, books and other stuff. It was easy for games and software, but many books, movies and albums simply do not have a webpage I can easily link to. I have a few ideas, but I need to bounce them around a while and see what sticks.
- The next piece of writing I'm going to be publishing for access is going to be about one of the gods in my original world I use for a lot of my fiction. The epic of Jo-Ur took place on a collaborative world known as Kaelan, but the story of Yellan Stow, the dragon god of knowledge, only happens on Mornstar.
Changelog 1/2/2023
- Made the 404 page different.
Changelog 1/1/2023
- This first update of the new year, and the Epic of Jo-Ur is finished! I had to add a new class to my CSS for that cool li'l rounded box (the idea of which was already stolen from Liam), and I also learned more about formatting in HTML as a result. It was a lot of fun to finish it up.
- The flavour of the original writing page isn't suitable for the music track I chose. I've removed the music for now and I plan to change it to something that makes more sense for it.
To-Do 1/1/2023
- I think I wanna make an about the author page. Especially so I can give people a way to get in touch with me, like a proton mail account or something.
- Every original piece of writing I do that I deem worthy of publishing will eventually end up there, so I'll trickle those in when I find the files again. I haven't been the best at keeping my writing in all the same place.
- I don't think having bare links is the best I can do, though, so I could make a big clickable button or design a cover for everything I upload and arrange them in a grid.
Changelog 12/25/2022
- Added a page for the epic of Jo-Ur.
- This will eventually link from the Original Writing page, because that's the way I want to do it. I wonder if it would be okay to try and put a music track on there. Perhaps I could split the page in two when the HTML file becomes unmanageable. Then I'd be able to theme the music around what's happening in the story.
- Finished the formatting of the changelog page.
- The way that I've been formatting the webpages is awful for mobile, as one of my friends showed me. I'd like the website to be readable, even if mobile isn't my target platform when creating this website.
To-do 12/25/2022
- Finish up the Jo-Ur page and link it from Original Writing.
- I'm planning on looking into figuring things out and trying to make mobile devices usuable when navagating my site.
Changelog 12/22/2022
- Added changelog
- Added tooltips to images on the recs page, matching the alt-text. I'm not entirely sure what I can do to make screen readers read description text so I'm covering my bases in both ways I know how.
To-do 12/22/2022
- I want to rig music up to play on certain webpages, and I'll need to figure that out someway. It would be nice to have SNES music play in certain spots.
- Can cross this one off, actually. I figured out how, just that Neocities wouldn't let me do it without a supporter account. I'm sure that there's a way to retrieve it from a personal server or something, but that sounds like it would eat my bandwith.
